As some of you may know, I spent many years playing in rock bands in my home town of Columbus, Ohio:  most notably,
with The Cretins and with Dark Dixie, which released a CD titled The Manson-Nixon Line in 1995.  Dark Dixie disbanded
shortly after the release of the CD, and I dedicated myself to finishing my doctoral studies at The Ohio State University,
writing my dissertation and earning a Ph.D. in Philosophy of Education.  The subsequent years were devoted to pursuing
what has become a fulfilling academic career. I am currently a tenured Associate Professor of Education at a regional
state university in Oklahoma.  And best of all, I married my collaborative partner Carolyn on November 26, 2008!
