FEATURED CUT:
STARDUST/QUICKSAND
Music Videos of Songs on the CD
Carolyn and I shot this video on location at the Garden of Eden in
Lucas, Kansas and at Coronado Heights in Lindsborg, KS.  We
would like to thank the folks at the Garden of Eden for allowing us
to film there.  We also want to acknowledge the visionary genius of
the Garden's creator, S.P. Dinsmoor.  For information on the
Garden and Dinsmoor (who has been called "the William Blake of
the American Wild West"), this link is a good place to start:

CLIPS FROM THE SONG "69"
A TEASER VIDEO (local link)
In 1969 my mother took Mike and me on a Greyhound bus from
Columbus, Ohio to Grand Island, Nebraska.  This is a song about
the year 1969 and some of the monumental events that occurred
that year.  You can get the full song on the
CD.

Select comments from Garage Band reviewers of "69"

Although the music is well produced it's the vocalist/lyricist that I
really like. A great voice with oodles of personality, sadly lacking
in a lot of bands. The lyrics are engaging - you have to listen to
them and I really like the political commentary throughout
Jim Pearson, United Kingdom

Very cool lyrics mix, solid overall mix, good vocals throughout,
cool lyrics (so good said it twice), Bob Dylan type sounding,
drummer very solid in the pocket, nice link with bass, bet your
crowds like this one. Good song guys.
Stone Creek Garner, North Carolina

Trip down memory lane
I like the "stream of consciousness" lyrics. Remenisent of both
Tom Petty and Dylan, which would account for the political slant
and vocal quality. Good guitar work, but at times it has to
compete with the backgroud spoken part. I'm not sure why 69
becomes repeated so much towards the end. Would that be the
unspoken link between sex and politicians?
Gypsy Dreamer, Las Vegas, Nevada

This would probably make for a very cool video, working the
visual of all of this stuff you are talking about. I feel like I am
listening to a book on tape of a 1969 yearbook lol.
Among all of this is some killer guitar playing. I like the line - girl
on the bus said you better go to night school. Cool lyric.
Eric Hig, Cloverdale, Ca
Histor-rock
I could really see myself listening to this music (dare I say on a
lazy NFL Sunday?)... obviously it is lyrically reminiscient of "We
Didn't Start the Fire", and I think the originality in the little musical
details make this song really stand out - well worth a listen, and
I wonder if the rest of this band's songs are equally as "different"
(and of course I mean that in the best possible way).
Ryan Rydelle

originally weird and catchy. was kinda skeptical at first but the
song impressed me a bit as it developed
The Mammoths, Jackson, NJ

John Hyatt Eat Your Heart Out
Great story based song. Really gives me the John Hyatt feel,
especially the vocals. The lyrics tell a story straight up and with
the use of metaphors
